Resilience Restored, Recovery Elevated
Rusty sustained shoulder injuries while competing in USATF events on August 2 and October 7, 2025. Oura tracking reflected resilience changes during this period. The October injury was later diagnosed as a torn rotator cuff, with surgery scheduled for February 2026.
Rusty began using EES WAVE on October 12, 2025. Within six weeks (November 29, 2025), his Oura resilience score improved from “Limited” to “Solid.”
With continued use, his wearable-tracked recovery indicators showed:
3 Months Update
January 2026 – Oura Data Snapshot
- Heart Rate Variability increased to ~100 ms
- Resting heart rate decreased to 49 bpm
- Sleep efficiency reached 87%
Recovery Maintained —
Even Off the System

Strong recovery metrics were maintained even after pausing EES WAVE use and prior to surgery.
